II Martín Códax Music Awards come back with 15 categories, 3 Prizes Organistrum and an Honorific Prize "Músicos ao Vivo"

The Association of “Músicos ao Vivo” called again for the Martín Códax Music Awards, opened to all the musical projects of Galicia or of outside but done by Galician musicians.

This year it presented great news as the 3 Prizes Organistrum, that they distinguished to the Best Room, Best Festival and Best Space of Musical Communication. Besides, there were 15 musical categories, two more that in the first edition: O “Rock” had its own category differentiated from  “Blues, Funk and Soul” and it appeared the category “Song of Author”.

Therefore, the different categories, with more than 350 projects inscribed, remain in the following way: Pop and Indie; Rock; Blues, Funk andSoul; Metal; Song of Author; Hip Hop and urban musics; Reggae,Ska and Crossbreeding; Electronics; Classical and Contemporary Music; Jazz and Improvised Musics; Galician Traditional Music; Folk; Musics of the World; Infantile Music and Orchestras, Groups and Musics of Celebration.

In this second edition the honorific award “Musicos ao Vivo” fell on N.H.U., a group of the seventies that only recorded a disk of progressive rock in Galician but it continues being an object of cult.

Finalists, 3 in every category, were known on the 26th of November in the course of a party that was celebrated in our facilities. They were:
