November will be a month of haute cuisine in Bodegas Martín Códax. Os Showcookings de Códax are back! A cycle of 3 cooking shows will bring to the winery some of the best Michelin-starred chefs in Galicia who will be cooking in live and making the best possible matches for our selection of wines.
Xoán Crujerias, of A Estación de Cambre will open this cycle on November, 8 coinciding with the European Day of Wine tourism. With a clear passion in cooking, tradition, landscape, respect, independence and the desire to change, his style is a middle way between the gastronomic dreams and the rationality of the cuisine.
Xoán will make 5 dishes to pair with our special wines: Martín Códax, Martín Códax Lías, Organistrum, Martín Códax Vindel and Martín Códax Gallaecia.
Iván Dominguez will be the next Michelin starred chef to join us in Martín Códax. Our wines will be paired with 5 new recipes from the chef of the Restaurante Alborada. His Atlantic style cuisine, which is dominated by the search for harmony of flavors and the exact cooking of the products for them to arrive “alive” but magnified, will be the protagonist on November, 15.
The cycle ends on November, 22 with Yayo Daporta. The chef who runs the restaurant in Cambados bearing his name will delight the audience with his cuisine, “based on good taste and common sense and halfway between the vanguard and the tradition”. He turns the gastronomy into an experience for the senses. Those more complex wines from Bodegas Martín Códax will be again the protagonists in this cooking show.

- November, 8: Xoán Crujeiras of A Estación de Cambre
- November 15: Iván Domínguez of Restaurante Alborada
- November, 22: Yayo Daporta of Restaurante Yayo Daporta.
Each day includes a guided tour to the winery and the cooking show, where you will enjoy the recipes of the chefs with their pairings. All events will begin at 11:00 am and last approximately 4 hours. Limited to 30 people.
