In the case of Mara Martín, a godello that stands out for his intense touches of wild flowers with a light citric fund of file and a step for mouth intense and greasy, after being named Best White Wine of Galicia, the new vintage obtained the biggest possible award in the Contest Vino y Mujer 2013: Big Diamond. This competition has for goal to give to know the world of the wine and to encourage the presence of the women in this sector. The jury, that tasted a total of 120 wines, was formed by experts in sensorial analysis, oenologists, sumilleres and journalists as Isabel Mijares or Luz Divina Merchán, among others. Of those 120 wines, only four were worthy of the Big Diamond, as it is the case of Mara Martín.
Moreover, Cuatro Pasos, a mencía elaborated in the Bierzo, has just received the Golden Bacchus, one of the most prestigious recognitions to national level. Bacchus are organized by the Spanish Union of Tasters and it is the only national competition recognized by the OIV. It is the great Spanish appointment with the world of the wine and more than 1500 wines took part in this competition. Because of that, the importance of this prize for Cuatro Pasos.
