Coinciding with the International Day of the Woman, the gallery of art of Santiago de Compostela El Taller presents the exhibition of M. Abente, 13.
In 13, the author wanted to join his two passions: the opera and the poster. The edge: the woman as example of fight and courage. A tribute to all those women, who, according to the author, “being despondent they will never be defeated. Women doomed to the death as consequence of sins that they never committed. Women who became heroines full of value and force, but especially fighters”.
The sample is a selection of works of mixed techniques in which Abente offers his vision on the subject through representations of feminine characters ill-treated in different operas.
It will be open to the public since the 8th of March up to the 5th of April.
