On Tuesday 10th of September the Galician Association of Food and Agricultural Cooperatives (Agaca) and Martín Códax will develop the day: “Entrepreneurship and promotion of the leadership of the women in the organs of decision of the food and agricultural cooperatives in Galicia”. It will take place our winery.
This activity rises up from the need to give continuity to two projects developed in the three last years on the subject of equality: Integra and Social Coop. They both procure a social, political, economic and cultural participation orientated to the equality of opportunities while the opportunity of the cooperatives of developing projects of assistance to old people is valued.
In this program, in what they also take part other federations of cooperatives of Spain, they are identified cooperative (as it is the case of Martín Códax) to initiate the increase and improvement of the participation of the women in the Governing Advice, through formative actions and of sensitization, mainly orientated to partner women, or linked to the cooperative, also males being able to take part.
At the same time, in the winery the starting of enterprising actions in the rural one is being invigorated, particularly asitenciais related to the service of social services in the sector of attention to the dependent people, where the conciliation of the work, personal and familiar life besides strategic factor is contemplated as an opportunity of business and diversification of the cooperatives. Martín Códax is a cooperative with a long trajectory of cultural and social commitment.
The act will start at 11:30 hours with the participation of Susana López Abella, general secretary of Equality of the Xunta of Galicia, the president of Wine Growers Martín Códax, José Martínez and the president of AGACA, José Montes.
This action is set in an agreement of collaboration among Cooperativas Land-alimentarias of Spain and the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, through the Secretariat of State of Social Services and Equality, with the financing of the European Social Fund and the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.
