The amount totals more than €13,500 that were donated to various charities selected to be the beneficiaries of Os Xoves de Códax. The €13,500 were raised through the ticket sales for the concerts and thanks to the solidarity of the public that sold out all the tickets for each show.
The money has been donated during two events in August and September to a total of nine associations: Fundación Amigos de Galicia, Esperanza Salnés, AECC, Fundación Andrea, Ingada, Cáritas, Solidaridade Galega co Pobo Saharaui, Afaga and Cocina Económica de Santiago.
The money was equitably distributed among all organizations so that each has received around 1,500 euros that will be used to provide various services to communities and social groups.
Thanks to this initiative, in the history of Os Xoves de Códax, we have been able to donate a total of 19,000 euros to different entities in Galicia, especially those dedicated to the most disadvantaged collectives.
