Just some days to finish this year, we want to make balance of the prizes gotten by our wines: a total of 45 medals! The most recents, the golden medal gotten by Martín Códax 2009 in Cata das Añadas, and the golden one received by Martín Códax 2011 in the International Contest Cinve 2012 celebrated in November in Valladolid. In the same competition our albariño fermented in barrel, Organistrum 2009 was also awarded with a silver medal besides our other wines Alba Martín 2011, Mara Martín 2011 and the mencía Cuatro Pasos 2010.
These prizes add themselves to the list of awards that wines of Bodegas Martín Códax received this year in several international and national competitions of great prestige.
The first recognitions arrived on the part of the national competition “Vino y Mujer”, organized by the Asociación Alamesa, in which they awarded to the wines of Alma Atlántica, Alba e Mara Martín, with the diamond and ruby prizes, respectively. This competition was followed by Bacchus, organized by the Unión Española de Catadores, wher Martín Códax and the mencía Cuatro Pasos took both silver medals.
To international level, medals obtained in the International Wine Challenge and in Decanter stand out. There, wines of our winery were awarded with nine medals. We may also highlight the silver medal received by Organistrum 2009 in the Sommelier Wine Award of London.
Finally, we cannot forget one of the greatest prize gotten by the winery: the recognisment in the XXIV Cata de Viños de Galicia to our godello Mara Martín as The Best White Wine in Galicia.
Moreover, differents viños destinated to export markets were also awarded.
