Our albariño Martín Códax has just been awarded in one of the most important international competitions of Spain, the Bacchus Awards, with a Silver Bacchus .
Organized by the Spanish Union of Tasters it is the great Spanish appointment with the world of the wine. It is the only international competition of wines in Spain that belongs at present to VINOFED, the federation that integrates to the most reputed competitions in the world. It is as well recognized by the International Organization of the Vineyard and the Wine (OIV) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Feeding and Means (MAGRAMA) of Spain. Three organisms confirm the prestige of Bacchus as world referent.
In edition 2014 a total of 1593 wines proceeding from 20 different countries as Australia, Brazil, Germany or Taiwan were tasted.
Martín Códax was selected by a jury composed by more than eighty professionals of the sector, as specialized journalists, sommeliers, winemakers, Masters of Wine, Masters of Sommelier…
But not everything remains there. Some days before receiving this Silver Bacchus, Martín Códax received also a gold medal in the Monovino 2014 Awards, organized by the association Alamesa and the Circle of the wine and in which wines elaborated with an only one varietal were valued. Martín Códax Lías received a medal of silver in this competition too.
They are the first prizes of the 2014 of a vintage, the 2013, that it will be soon in the market so that all the world can enjoy it.
