The 9th of November, European Day of Wine Tourism, the cycle of Showcookings of Códax started with the cook of the famous Galician head of kitchen Pepe Solla.
With the entries used up on only three days and the good taste of this Estrella Michelín, the success was guaranteed.
Solla cooked in direct five dishes thatpaired with five of our wines. Among them, Martín Códax Vindel, our new albariño; an unique and surprising wine proceeding from an extreme viticulture. A 100% albariño whose grape is submitted to an over rippen and extracted from a selected grape harvest.
The menu remained in the following way:
- Creamy Ceviche of knives and corn, paired with Martín Códax 2013
- Tuna with soup of tomatoes and aromatic herbs, paired with Martín Códax Lías 2011
- Scallop noodle green, paired with Organistrum 2012
- Fish in green sauce of seaplants, paired with Martín Códax Vindel 2012
- Fried egg that we do not fry, paired with Martín Códax Gallaeci a2011
As final surprise, Cake of Santiago with Coffee Liqueur Martín Códax.
