Bodegas Martin Códax has surpassed once again with great success the international audits of public health and food security BRC and IFS submitted recently. The winery has obtained “A” grade in the BRC, which is the best possible scoring and 98.18 points of 100 in the IFS.
The British Retail Consortium (BRC) is an eating security system developed by the Association of the Commerce for retailers in the United Kingdom that oversees the compliance of the legal requirements and the protection of the consumer. Is a matter of a unified norm of quality that values the public health and eating security of installations, the management of quality, the control of products and processes as well as the implication on the part of the management team and personnel.
The International Food Standard (IFS) is another norm of quality developed by the chains of French and German distribution and is accepted also in Italy and Holland. The objective is to audit the marks, processes produced and quality management systems to guarantee the public health and eating security and to control the level of quality of the manufacturers and producers.
In both audits Martin Códax has obtained satisfactory results. By obtaining this, it permits the winery to have access to new markets, since it certifies the compliance of the requirements required by the large international distributors, and the consolidation in markets in which already been like in German, English or in the Netherlands.
